Filler episodes can be a bit of a mixed bag! On one hand, they can be a delightful way to explore characters’ lives outside the main plot. It’s fun to see your favorite heroes in lighter, everyday situations—like Naruto chasing after his lost wallet or the Straw Hat Pirates getting into quirky side adventures. Sometimes, these episodes even provide emotional depth or hilarious moments that wouldn’t fit into the intense main storyline.

On the flip side, some fillers can feel like a drag, especially when you’re dying to see what happens next in the canon story. Endless filler arcs (looking at you, Naruto and Bleach) can test even the most patient fans. But hey, they also give the manga time to progress and the animators a breather, so I get why they exist.

The trick is to treat fillers like snacks between meals: sometimes satisfying, sometimes skippable, but they’re all part of the anime feast!
